UC IRVINE ACADEMY & NSF S-STEM SCHOLARSHIPS

Since 2012, my colleagues and I have worked with the UC Irvine Samueli School of Engineering, to develop the UCI | IVC Engineering Academy. Together, we have created a high quality, low cost, guaranteed transfer pathway, which allows our students to earn a bachelor's degree in engineering within 4 years of starting at IVC! Click here to see our first cohort!

As a result of our continuing work with UC Irvine, the IVC engineering department was awarded a $5,000,000 grant from the National Science Foundation.  These funds provide full ride scholarships to approximately 20-30 students with unmet income needs each year.   Click this NSF S-STEM link for Information about the program.

An example of the work being done by our S-STEM transfer students can be seen in the video below.  The Legacy Robotics group at UCI, which is taking part in the DJI RoboMaster competition, is managed and supported by several UCI  undergraduate students who took part in the S-STEM program at IVC.
